Marathon

My name is Brendan Bowers. I played basketball growing up and got into running later as an adult. I really love running and am blessed to be able to do it. I’ve run a few half marathons along with the Cleveland Marathon in ’23. I also ran the Athens, Ohio marathon in ’24.

I both marathons to raise awareness and support for a charity called Provision Promise. I wrote about what I learned while training for the marathon on the Provision website.

Here is a link: My Marathon Story: A Step-By-Step Lesson in Gratitude.

I also wrote about leadership lessons I learned from the pacers I ran with during the Cleveland Marathon.

That articles is published at Eyeful Media: Marathon Pace Setting and Leadership that Inspires.

Our CEO Antonella Pisani and the entire team at Eyeful was so supportive of my Marathon journey. Their support helped me finish the race. It’s a blessing to work with such a collaborative, and cause-based group of inspiring people at Eyeful Media.

Cities I loved to run

My favorite place to run was found on a recent trip to London, England. Hyde Park near Park Lane is a runner’s masterpiece.

During our trip to Europe, we also visited France. Running through the parks of Paris and along the river toward the Eiffel Tower was a dream as well.

My wife Kate and I are at the Toronto Blue Jays vs. Cleveland Guardians MLB game in this picture. Running in Toronto was great along the Inner Harbor.

I also ran in New York City and Springfield, Illinois. The land of Lincoln was great, Central Park was really cool too, but Hyde Park in London is No. 1 on my power rankings.
